I also did some Multi-species work, but will add that to the Goals section below because it’s incomplete and I got a bit side-tracked.

Goals before start of Spring Quarter:

Multi-Species Project:

Finalize the lists of DEGs for the project before getting into the other stuff! I got sidetracked a bit by Orthofinder, and in chatting with Steven, realized I should go piece by piece to make sure the DEG lists are solid first. So, I’ll be focusing on getting those lists done!

V. pectenicida and Eelgrass Project:

I’ll be doing a new iteration of last Spring’s project this coming May: Can eelgrass decrease bacteria counts in filtered seawater? However, I’ll be adding an additional treatment of shellfish, and shellfish + eelgrass, etc.

Before we finalize the treatment groups for this May’s project, I need to see how last year’s work went, so I’ll be processing those samples. More details to come.
