Chapter 2 –> Multi-species

I have new results I’m working on, so wrapping those up (Day 12 –> DEG —> enrichment for each species) now.

Add the results to the paper and discuss them.

FHL DNA Extractins and qPCR

Running the remaining plates of DNA I already have extracted

Extract DNA from mussel tissue using the bullet blender to homogenize tissue prior to sub-sampling 15mg of tissue. Check to see if the bullet blender is functional again first!

• I’m a coordinator for the Graduate Student Symposium and that’s going to be on November 6th, so the first of November will be an especially busy one!

• TA: Leading two lab sections on Thursdays every week(6-7 hours total/week); grading lab reports (~3-4 hours/week); office hours (1 hour/week) and participating in TA-prep meetings and doing my own prep (~1-2hours/week)
• TA: this weekend -I’m the TA for two low tide surveys on Saturday and Sunday night, so that will be busy, but fun!
