Met with Steven today and specifically talked about my multi-species chapter. Got some goals in post!

I’ve been struggling with the amount of data and results I have from this chapter!! I’ve been feeling a bit unsure of what to focus on and that was making me feel pretty stuck.

Steven and I talked through my results and he helped me identify some goals and things to focus on.

Day 12 is the time point where there’s the biggest difference between control and exposed treatments within each species. So, I’ll be focusing on that time point for now.

  1. I’ll compare the DEGs from each species at Day 12 to the shared list of orthogroups (12k+ orthogroups shared by all three species). I’ll get the list of DEGs from each species and see how many are also shared within each species and how many are not.

  2. I’ll also dig into the Day 12 enrichment for each species. I’ll dig into the processes and talk about it in the results and discussion.
